+1, amor+5, or hp+30
i just created an MM recently, as some of you may know, and i am looking for a good weapon. i know that MM's dont really have that much armor so i was thinking of an armor+5 staff wrap. i also know that hp+ would be nice to help stay alive so i was thinking of hp+30 wrap. i also understand that having a minion at lvl 17 stats is better than one at 16 stats, so i was thinking +1 wrap.
i know that each wrap has pros and cons, but i honestly cant make up my mind on the matter. thnx |

+1 all the way. armor is practically useless, because youre in the back, and more HP = more hp saccing each thim you heal minions.
i would say +1 wrap and +5 energy |

yeah +1 wrapping for the same reason. you can craft a 20/20 death magic staff - same as a 50-80k bortak staff - for only about 5 collector items i believe. in the dessert. iuf you want you can guildwiki.org serch it.

Definitely +Armor. +1 (20%) adds such a slight, miniscule amount of damage it is barely calculable. The Armor mod, however, adds a very noticeable thing, when you consider how monsters target people: They go for the closest person with the lowest armor class. If a monster gets to the rear of the group and sees three people, two with 60 AL and you with 65 AL, they'll go for one of the 60 AL members -- not you. And as an MM, it is absolutely vital to stay alive -- if you die, chances are your team dies too.
Armor class makes a difference. With MM's armor, an energy sword with +5 AL, and an offhand with +5 Armor while enchanted you can be walking around with 85 AL and you'll take ~33% less damage per hit than you used to. It's worth it, really. |

+1 - in all honesty it's not htat big of a difference, but it's nice when you see a lvl 28 flesh golem vs a lvl 26
Armor you shouldn't need if you have a good baseline team HP as mentioned earlier is bad b/c of Saccing. Good for when not in MM mode though. |

Since you can switch weapons so easily, you can make one of each. Keep the +5 armor equipped normally, switch to the +1 every time you raise a minion, then switch back to armor...

ideally the weapon type should all be dependant on your build, no point using weapons that don't compliment your skillset.
Personally flesh golem I believe flesh golem is overrated and Aura of the Lich is still the way to go. For me I use three weapon sets as a MM: WeaponSet 1 : WeaponSet 2: Platinum Blade of Fortitude +5 Energy +30 Health Bortak's Bone Cesta WeaponSet 3: EDIT: Links didn't work correctly Last edited by Rebirther; Jun 06, 2006 at 08:23 PM // 20:23.. |
